The specific information you will be required to submit when applying for a mortgage through Great Point Mortgage will depend on the type of mortgage product you are trying to obtain. It is helpful to be prepared by organizing and gathering as much of your financial documentation as possible ahead of time. Also keep in mind that more recent information such as paystubs and bank statements may be requested just prior to closing. It is important to retain these and other important documents just in case they are required by the underwriter or lender.
Listed below is a helpful checklist of some of the items that may be required for a full documentation loan:
- W-2’s: (Most recent two years for all borrowers)
- Tax Returns (Self Employed Borrowers most recent two years)
- Paystubs: (Two most recent for all borrowers)
- Bank Statements: (Most recent two months with all pages included for Savings, Checking, CD’s, Investment, Retirement Accounts, etc.)
- Copy of Offer: (If a new purchase)
- Fully Executed Purchase and Sale Agreement: (If a new purchase)
- Copy of Deposit & Earnest Money Checks: (If a new purchase)
This list is just a sample of some of the items that may be required to process a loan. The lender or underwriter may require additional information or documentation to make a loan decision.
