Protecting Your Privacy and Security - We are strongly committed to our relationship with you and want you to understand the steps we have taken to protect your personal information.

Protecting Your Privacy - When applying for a loan through Great Point Mortgage, protecting your privacy is important to us and to our network of financial service providers. This notice is intended to tell you where we obtain information about you and who has access to it once it is received by us. It also tells you about your right to limit that access further.

Where We Get information - Most of the information we collect about you comes directly from you. For example, the answers you provide such as your income, assets or debts on your loan application. Information may also come from other documentation, agreements or forms that you complete and supply us in order to receive our services. In addition, we may obtain information about you from a consumer-reporting agency or from other parties (for example, your credit history or other facts relating to creditworthiness and employment histories).

To Whom We Disclose the Information - We provide customer information about current or former customers from the sources described above to parties outside of Great Point Mortgage only as permitted by law, which includes each of the instances below:

Where required by law or regulation. Examples include responses to a subpoena, court order or regulatory demand.
As authorized by you. You may direct us, for example, to send your application information to a third party.
To companies who perform marketing services on our behalf. A company performing marketing services on our behalf would include, for example, a company that assists in a broad mailing of materials advertising our services. These companies must limit their use of the information to the purpose for which it was provided.
To other companies as necessary to process your business. For example, we transmit your application information to the company that performs your appraisal. Third parties in this category are prohibited by agreement from using information about you except for the narrow purpose for which we gave it to them.
To mortgage lenders. For example, when we broker your mortgage loan to a lender, we provide your file, including your loan application, credit report, and other loan documents.

Your right to opt out. As we have described, we want to share the information we have about you with other companies to enhance our ability to provide or offer you services, which would be of value to you. If you prefer that we limit the sharing of this information only to that permitted or required by law, we will respect your choice. All you need to do is call us toll-free at 877-316-7900 or e-mail us at Marketing@GreatPointMortgage.com and provide your name, telephone number and property address.

You can make this choice now or at any time in the future. For customers applying jointly through us, we will accept a decision from either individual. This decision will apply to both parties named in the loan documents.

Confidentiality and Security - We consider all information we have about you to be confidential, including the fact that you are a customer (unless you tell us otherwise). Your information is only to be handled in the manner described in this notice. We restrict access to information about you to those employees and authorized agents who need to know that information in order to provide services to you. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to maintain the confidentiality of your information. We also regularly assess new technology and developments in this area and upgrade these safeguards as appropriate.

Internet Security - At Great Point Mortgage, safeguarding your personal information when interacting with us via the internet is also extremely important. We apply the standards discussed above in caring for your personal information. When browsing our website, personal information such as your e-mail address is not collected. Some areas of our website require information, such as your e-mail address, to enable you to perform certain tasks (for example to correspond with us. In this case we collect the information necessary to interact with you. If you visit us on the Internet, we may place a “cookie” on your browser that records the number of visits made to our various Web pages; however, personal information is not collected.

Regular Internet E-mail is Not Secure - Please do not send confidential information such as social security numbers to us via regular e-mail. In instances where e-mail addresses are provided, they are provided for information inquiries of a non-sensitive and non-confidential nature. Since an Internet e-mail response back to you would not be secure, we will not include confidential information in an e-mail response.
